Fresco
I make the fresco substrate from a formula of calcium carbonate and industrial gelatin that is heated, cooled and poured onto wood panels.
After creating original photographic compositions, I print them using archival pigment inks onto film positives. While the fresco is still damp the images are transferred to the surface. Some works have found materials embedded or acrylic painting added.
Because of the many variables, each finished fresco is unique.
